Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur

khar zurhnii khukh nuurKhar Zurkhnii  Khukh Nuur of is the small lake in the Khentii mountain range has strong connection with history of Chinggis Khaan. In 1189, Temuujin was proclaimed as a Chinggis Khaan in this place. Khar Zurkhen is a heart-shaped forest mountain on the northern shore of the lake. Surroundings of Khar Zurkh Mountain's Khukh Nuur Lake are like forest and taiga region where larch, birch, poplar forest, willows, bushes and hillock grow.

Kherlengiin Khodoo Aral

Huduu aralKherlengiin Khodoo Aral is another place which horsts story of Chinggis Khaan and his family. The place is surrounded by three rivers remotely so it is named Island of Kherlen. Khodoo Aral is the place where Secret History of Mongols was written. The sentence closes Secret History of Mongols says that “This book has finished on the 17th of mid month of the fall when Aurag Palace was being settling in the winter” camp. Sightseeing in the place is ruin of the Aurag palace and Aurag mineral spring. A tart spring with hydro-carbonates, carbon acid gas and iron is good for stomach system.

Burkhan Khaldun

Deluun boldogBurkhan Khaldun is the first worshiped and protected mountain in Mongolia. When Temuujin was escaping Taichuudhe survived in this mountain. Since that time Burkhan Khaldun got great honor. Worshiping ovoo of Burkhan Khaldun is at the foot of it but not on the top. Because people believe that there is a burial of dignitaries so it must be kept in secret and it is forbidden to climb the mountain. Burkhan Khaldun is one of four state worshipped mountains; therefore, black emblem of national is worshipped and celebrated at the level of the nation.

Deluun boldog

As it is said in "Secret History of Mongols", Chinggis Khan was born in Deluun Boldog, Baljiin Aral and Dalan Baljuud where Chinggis Khaan Ancestor Bodonchar was living hurt (embuul ger) in this area and collected Mongol tribe. When Temuujin was born his mother was given a spleen soup and water of the soup was taken from the east lake, thus, east lake was given a name Deluun (Mongolian word for spleen), moreover, Chinggis's body was wallowed in the west lake, thus, west lake was given a name Therefore, the names of east and west lakes called together as Deluun Boldog.

Bereeven Monastery

beerevenBaldan bereeven Monastery, dubbed as an Utai of Outer Mongolia was in 1777 by Lama Tseveendorj, one of the high ranking tsorjs of Bodg Khaan. The monastery was larges Buddhist center in the eastern Mongolian where served more that 8000 lamas and hosted prayers from Inner Mongolia. Before 1930’s, four large monasteries and other small temples were consist of Baldan Bereeven Monastery. Location of the monastery is well planned; surrounding mountains, forest and scenery are perfect harmony of natural beauty and monastery construction.  Under the darkest shadow of the communist purges in 1930’s monastery was destroyed completely and only ruin of the main temples and some Buddhist image carvings in the northern mountain rocks are left. As a other monasteries in Mongolian Baldan Bereaven monastery was restored since democratic changes in Mongolia.

Oglogchiin Kherem Wall

uglugchiin heremThere are stones walls that are built punctiliously without using clay in the mouth of Daichin Mountain, surrounded with pine and larch forests and located in the confluence of Bayan and Oglogch rivers. Locals call a lanky rocky cliff inside the wall as a horse rope of Chinggis Khaan. There are no remains of buildings in the wall but flat terraces, thus, it could be archers' fortification of the 12-13th century. Many scientists say that the Oglogchiin Kherem was a base of Chinggis Khaans army, rest of them tries to approve that it may be the burial tomb of Chinggis Khaan.
