Overlapping with the Khangai range in the south, a smaller range called Sayan dominates north-central Mongolia, occupying most mountainous part of Huvsgul aimag (province) territory. The main feature of this region is the abundance of clear water lakes and rivers with the most outstanding being Lake Huvsgul. Renowned as the “dark blue pearl” of Mongolia, Lake Huvsgul is one of the country’s largest lakes and it features one of the most spectacular areas of the country. Along Northern circle, you will explore the Forest-Khangai Mountains of Central Mongolia and spend time along the banks of Lake Huvsgul surrounded by lush green-forested mountains. You will also visit the ancient capital city of Kharkhorum, visit Erdenezuu and Amarbayasgalant monasteries, as well as Khustai National Park to see the reintroduction of the wild horse, Takhi (Przewalski horse)

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar city
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour visiting Gandan Monastery largest Buddhist center in the county, Sukhbaatar Square and Chinggis Khaan’s Monument, National Museum of Mongolian History and enjoy Mongolian Folk Art performance. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2. Amarbayasgalant Monastery
Drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, wwhich was built in the beginning of 18th century for the memory of Zanabazar who is the first reincarnate lama of Mongolian Buddhism. It is the most beautiful and well preserved old monastery in northern Mongolia. The thing makes this monastery an amazing is its architecture of main temple, constructed without single iron nail and all based on wooden block puzzles. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 3. Uran Togoo Mountain
Morning stay at temple and drive to Uran Togoo Mount town via Erdenet city was built under one soviet inspired master plan in the ’1970 for host the copper miners. Erdenet’s copper mine plays an important role in Mongolian economy and it consists around 30 percent of annual GDP. Togoo Mountain is oldest dead volcano. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 4. Khuvsgul Lake
Drive to Khuvsgul Lake. Lake Khuvsgul is dubbed as Switzerland of Mongolia and a lake is surrounded with lash green forest mountains. In addition, it is a 1% of fresh water resource of the world.  Overnight at ger camp.

Day 5. Reindeer herder
Visit Tsaatan well known as reindeer people where located app 50kms from our campsite and it takes two and half hours of driving. (Depends year around) There will be two families one is Tsaatan, reindeer herder and Shaman. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 6. Khuvsgul Lake
Free day for relax. Free day for relax. You can have short horseback riding, hiking along the lakeshore. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 7. Shine Ider
Drive back to Muruntown and visit Local black market. On the way, you will visit Bronze Age deer stone monument site and arrive at ger camp, which located in on the way of Khorgo National Park. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 8. Khorgo National Park
Drive to Khorgo Terkh National Park, which is famous by its natural beauty. White lake is surrounded by extinct volcanoes, Terhiin Tsagaan is one of the most beautiful lakes in Mongolia. Being elevation at an altitude of 2,060 meters, the lake occupies and area of over 300 square kilometers. This astonishingly beautiful crystal clear water lake is renowned for its fish and bird life. Arrive at Khorgo and overnight at ger camp.

Day 9. Khorgo  National park
Leisure day. Hiking nearby White Lake or known as Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur and volcanic mountains over 2000m above sea level are recommended. We visit Cave of the Yellow Dog, Ice cave and Zaluuchuud cave etc. Overnight at  ger camp.

Day 10. Tsenkher hot Spa
Morning stay at lake side and drive to Chuluut river longest canyon which huge creation of volcanic earthquake and late afternoon arrive at Tsenkher hot Spa which is located in the south east corner of Khangai Mountains. Spa itself contains hydrogen and sulfate used for medical purpose.   Relax at ger camp.

Day 11. Kharkhorum
Drive to Kharkhorum, ancient capital of Mongolia. Kharkhorum was built in 1220’s by the decree of Uguudei Khaan the successor of Chinggis Khaan. Visit to Erdenezuu the first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. Early 20th century there was more than 100 temples and over 1000 lamas used to serve. The monastery was sacked during the purges of 1937. Nowadays, only one temple holds religious activity and rest works as a museum. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 12. Khustai national park
Drive to Khustai National park. Khustai National park was protected in 1993 to conserve biodiversity and facilitate the re-introduction to the wild horse or known as Przewalski horse. Drive to core zone of the national park in order to explore wild horses and other wildlife. Besides TAKHI you can see many wild animals including wild sheep Argali, wolf, red deer. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 13. Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast. We will drive to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel free time for leisure; Visit Natural History Museum and shopping opportunity to cashmere and souvenir shops and dinner. Overnight at hotel

Day 14. Departure
Check out from hotel and transfer to Ulaanbaatar Train Station for departure.
